We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Technology to lead our software development, technology strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and product innovation efforts. This leadership role will be responsible for driving the evolution of our SaaS platform while ensuring the stability, security, scalability, and performance of our solutions.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technology leader who can balance strategic planning with execution, inspire technical teams, collaborate across departments, and align technology initiatives with business objectives.
Position Summary
The Director of Technology provides leadership and oversight for all technology-related functions, including software development, systems architecture, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, product innovation, integrations, and technical operations.
This individual will partner closely with executive leadership to develop and execute the company's technology roadmap while ensuring that EON continues to deliver reliable, secure, and innovative solutions to its customers.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute EON's technology vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Align technology initiatives with company growth objectives and customer needs.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for innovation.
- Participate in strategic business planning as a member of the leadership team.
- Establish technology standards, processes, and best practices across the organization.
Software Development & Product Delivery
- Lead and mentor software engineering and technical teams.
- Drive product development initiatives from concept through deployment.
- Oversee application architecture, development methodologies, and release management.
- Ensure timely delivery of software enhancements, integrations, and new features.
- Champion Agile development principles and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize development efforts and resource allocation.
Cloud Infrastructure & Security
- Oversee cloud infrastructure, application hosting environments, and system performance.
- Ensure high levels of system availability, reliability, scalability, and disaster recovery preparedness.
- Lead cybersecurity efforts, including risk management, compliance, vulnerability management, and security awareness.
- Develop and enforce data protection and information security policies.
- Monitor technology performance, uptime, and operational metrics.
Product Innovation & Customer Experience
- Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, Sales, and Support teams to improve customer outcomes.
- Evaluate customer feedback and industry trends to drive product enhancements.
- Support integration initiatives with third-party platforms and partners.
- Ensure technology decisions enhance usability, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing technical talent.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, teamwork, and continuous learning.
- Establish performance goals and professional development plans for team members.
- Promote collaboration between technical and non-technical departments.
Vendor & Budget Management
- Manage technology vendors, consultants, and strategic partners.
- Develop and oversee technology budgets and resource planning.
- Evaluate software, infrastructure, and service investments for ROI and business impact.
- Negotiate contracts and technology agreements when appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing software development teams.
- Experience leading SaaS application development and operations.
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies, web applications, APIs, and software architecture.
- Experience managing technology roadmaps and product delivery cycles.
- Proven success leading cross-functional technical initiatives.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within Human Resources Technology (HR Tech), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Recruiting Software, or Talent Acquisition platforms.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards.
- Experience with AI-powered software solutions and automation technologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD methodologies.
- Project Management certification or Agile leadership experience.
